- ➤ Neighbor2Neighbor is hosting a Valentine’s celebration for the homeless community this Saturday — offering food, clothes and safe opportunities to help rebuild lives at the local center. KCTV5
- ➤ On Friday night, 600 volunteers organized Night to Shine at Abundant Life in Lee's Summit for 200 individuals with special needs - the prom event featured a red carpet, donated formal wear, and a crowning ceremony sponsored by the Tim Tebow Foundation. KCTV5
BUSINESS NEWS
- ➤ Current Landing plans to debut an upscale sports bar (a social destination) soon. The venue will offer a lively space for sports fans and community members to gather. KCTV5
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Drivers in the metro will face alternate routes as several highways, including I-70 (with the Lefholz Road bridge remaining closed until July), I-670, and lanes on I-29/U.S. 169 undergo road work this weekend; parts reopen on Monday. KMBC
- ➤ A $3.3 million I-435 bridge repair project is set to begin Monday with lane closures in place through December — the project will pause work during the World Cup. KCTV5
