- ➤ The Summer Singers of Lee’s Summit is inviting new singers for its 11th summer season in 2025 with rehearsals on Thursday evenings in June and July and a gala concert scheduled for the end of July. Singers 16 and older who can read music may join the chorus that will perform 'Mozart & His American Contemporaries' with guest soloists and Kansas City Symphony musicians—directed by Dr. Baker and Associate Music Director Niccole Williams. SPORTS NEWS
- ➤ After the Royals' playoff run last year, youth baseball leagues have seen new team registrations increase by 10%—adding about 150 players—and officials at the North Kansas City Baseball Association are preparing for a busy season as the Royals gear up for opening day. League leaders say the enhanced local interest will help grow youth baseball in the area. KMBC
