Donmoyer, 39, from La Grange, Georgia was charged with assault and kidnapping after he allegedly held an Oak Grove woman hostage in her home for hours over the weekend—she said he attacked her when she offered to drive him to the train station and kept her until 11:05 a.m. Sunday. GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ State lawmakers, led by Rep Ron Fowler, have introduced HB 999 to let the state withhold part of Jackson County's sales tax revenue if the county does not lower its property tax assessments as ordered. The bill passed the House easily — its penalty may affect 40% of the county's revenue — and will be reviewed by a Senate committee while not applying to the current cycle. KCTV5
