- ➤ Officer Jared Timbrook, who was shot four times on June 1 while pursuing a suspect, was released from the hospital on June 3 — he now recovers at home with the support of the Lee’s Summit community. Lee's Summit Tribune
CULTURE NEWS
- ➤ Tickets for the first Historic Lee’s Summit Trolley Tour are on sale now for an event set for July 17th that will include a guide and stops around town, require riders to be 18 or older, and cost $100—tickets are available on the museum website or at 220 SW Main Street on Thursday and Friday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. or Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The Lee’s Summit History Museum will also honor the 150th anniversary of the Lee’s Summit Fire Department by giving active firefighters free admission in June and displaying a temporary exhibit. EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Drury University announced its spring dean's list for students who earned a 3.6 GPA or higher while taking a full-time course load (12 or more semester hours).
