🎓 Education
LSR-7 families must register their students each July—even those who pre-registered for Kindergarten—as registration will open on July 18 and must be completed through the Parent PowerSchool platform before August 1.
Completing registration on time will ensure students are included in bus route planning and receive correct class and teacher assignments on the first day.
🏛️ Government
Jackson County Legislator Sean Smith and Stacey Johnson-Cosby will host a free tax assessment workshop on June 26 at 6 p.m.—aimed at assisting property owners facing steep and sudden value increases.
The session at The Loretto event space will include experts in appraisal, commercial real estate and law to guide owners through rising assessments.
