- ➤ Crews with the Lee's Summit Fire Department responded at 4:30 a.m. Saturday to a house fire on SW Summit Hill Drive near Longview and Pryor roads after a resident woke and found smoke alarms—discarded fireworks in the trash triggered flames that spread to the garage, attic and exterior—while the occupants stayed safe outside.
