➤ In September 2024, the Truman Heartland Community Foundation Board set a plan to boost affordable housing by creating a Community First Loan Fund worth about $900,000—its first loan went to Truman Heritage Habitat for Humanity to rehab a donated house in Raytown, while local data show that 22% of households spend over 30% of income on housing and 9% face severe cost burdens.
