A casting call ad for Ted Lasso extras circulating online for filming in Blue Springs and Lee's Summit on July 22 and 23 led local actors to pay a $99 subscription fee and wasted time—raising scam warnings from talent agents to verify casting details with Alessi Hartigan Casting Missouri.

Jackson County Executive Frank White Jr. proposed renewing a 3/8-cent sales tax to keep the Kansas City Chiefs in Missouri, fund public health and safety, and upgrade key facilities.
