Here's your local news at a glance for Tuesday, the 22nd of July.
Good morning, Lee's Summit.
🏘️ Community
Ernie Martel, 91, honors his late wife June by keeping The Little Food Pantry stocked in Northmoor, but rising food prices make it hard to meet growing needs (donations have stayed the same while costs have increased).
Five years ago, he and friends at Tiffany Springs Senior Living set up the pantry, and Mindy Ohrenberg from NALC Riverside now helps restock the shelves for those in need.
🎭 Culture
Production for the fourth season of 'Ted Lasso' has begun in the metro as cast and crew film at local spots including Gates Bar-B-Q and Union Station — which is lighting up in AFC Richmond colors to honor the show.
Kansas City native Jason Sudeikis leads the series and will coach a women's team this season.
