  • ➤ Oracle laid off multiple Kansas City-area employees this week after a virtual meeting ended with immediate job cuts—one worker said the cuts came suddenly—and the company said the local impact is still unknown. The firm had earlier notified hundreds in other states this month.  KCTV5

  • ➤ The Kansas City Chiefs will open the season in Sao Paulo today at 7:05 p.m. CT when they face the Chargers—key receivers are missing as Rashee Rice is serving a six-game suspension and rookie Jalen Royals is sidelined with a knee injury.
