- ➤ Officer Blaize Madrid-Evans, fatally shot in 2021 while investigating a tip in Independence, donated his organs and saved lives such as former Springfield officer Mark Priebe, whose transplant gave him a second chance—KMBC 9 Chronicle’s 'Ride for the Fallen' airs today at 8 p.m. to honor his legacy.
