🏛️ Government
Volunteers in Kansas City began turning in petition signatures on Thursday—collected by People Not Politicians—to contest Missouri’s new congressional map.
The group needs over 100,000 signatures by Dec. 11 to bring the issue to the November statewide ballot as Governor Kehoe plans to sign the map into law on Sunday.

Lee's Summit Housing Authority 2026 Annual Plan
The Lee’s Summit Housing Authority announces that beginning September 26, 2025, draft copies of the 2026 Annual Plan and 2025–2029 5-YR PHA Plan & CFP will be available for public review at 111 SE Grand Ave., Lee’s Summit, MO 64063, and online at www.hacls.org. Documents may be viewed Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM–4:00 PM, for 45 days in accordance with 24 CFR 903. A public hearing is scheduled for November 19, 2025, at 2:00 PM in the Lee Haven Community Room at the same address, where LSHA will receive and consider comments before finalizing the plans for HUD submission.
