- ➤ Jackson County Parks — Rec will host the 31st Annual Dogtober Fest at Kemper Outdoor Education Center in Blue Springs on October 19th from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., where dog lovers and their pets will join contests, live demonstrations, and activities while donating canned or bagged dog food to support Lee’s Summit Animal Shelter and local rescues.
