- ➤ Flight cutbacks at 40 busy airports due to a controller shortage are starting today and may affect KCI since 32 connected airports serve the region. Travelers with connections through Nashville and Denver have already reported delays—officials are working to reach a compromise that could ease the shutdown impact. KMBC
