- ➤ The Salvation Army launched its season of giving on Thursday night with a holiday lighting ceremony featuring a 30-foot tower of lights & silver bells ringing. The nonprofit received its first $10,000 donation to help support meals, utilities, and toy distributions for over 152,000 people served last year in the metro. KMBC
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ The Board of Education for Reorganized School District No. 7 will meet Thursday, November 20 at the Stansberry Leadership Center in Lee's Summit. After the work session, the board will enter a closed session to address legal, personnel, and student issues — as required by Missouri law. Lee's Summit Tribune
SPORTS NEWS
- ➤ Musician Post Malone will perform at halftime in Kansas City’s Thanksgiving Day showdown when the Chiefs & Cowboys play at 3:30 p.m. He will also launch the Salvation Army’s Red Kettle Campaign & help set up over 120 kettles to support donations. KMBC
