Good morning, Lee's Summit.

Neighbor2Neighbor is hosting a Valentine’s celebration for the homeless community this Saturday — offering food, clothes and safe opportunities to help rebuild lives at the local center.

On Friday night, 600 volunteers organized Night to Shine at Abundant Life in Lee's Summit for 200 individuals with special needs - the prom event featured a red carpet, donated formal wear, and a crowning ceremony sponsored by the Tim Tebow Foundation.

Current Landing plans to debut an upscale sports bar (a social destination) soon.

The venue will offer a lively space for sports fans and community members to gather.

Drivers in the metro will face alternate routes as several highways, including I-70 (with the Lefholz Road bridge remaining closed until July), I-670, and lanes on I-29/U.S. 169 undergo road work this weekend; parts reopen on Monday.

A $3.3 million I-435 bridge repair project is set to begin Monday with lane closures in place through December — the project will pause work during the World Cup.
