➤ Jackson County Executive Frank White Jr. proposed renewing a 3/8-cent sales tax to keep the Kansas City Chiefs in Missouri, fund public health and safety, and upgrade key facilities. He outlined the plan in a July 8 letter to Gov. Mike Kehoe—saying it could generate $500 million to $700 million and allow multiple priorities to be funded under a single ballot measure. KMBC
