County Executive Frank White vetoed a senior property tax credit ordinance on July 10; lawmakers overrode his veto on July 17 to extend the deadline for seniors.

Missouri state Sen. Michael Moon, state Rep. Bryant Wolfin and citizen activist Ron Calzone filed a lawsuit against the state over Senate Bill 3—which contains the Show-Me Sports Investment Act—and argue that the bill was rushed and breaks the rules by funding private stadium projects for the Chiefs and Royals.
